If your website is currently IPSA funded, you must make arrangements with them either not to pay this cost between dissolution and polling day, (ie between 30 March and 7 May), or to refund IPSA for this period from other private funds or your Association.
FOR MP MEMBERS STANDING AGAIN
If your website contains "MP" in the URL e.g. JoeBloggsMP.co.uk, you must purchase a new domain e.g. JoeBloggs.org.uk
The old URL can be auto-redirected to this new URL you have purchased.
30 March is the last date for this change – if you wish to add campaigning articles earlier, you must cease IPSA funding from that point, and new articles must carry the imprint of your election agent.
If your Facebook URL contains "MP" e.g. Facebook.com/JohnSmithMP you must apply to Facebook to have it changed to something without "MP" e.g. Facebook.com/JohnSmith4Constituency
If your Twitter handle contains "MP" e.g. @JohnSmithMP you must change it to something without "MP" e.g. Please see Twitter’s info page on how to do this. If you’d like to retain the "MP" handle for later, create a new account straight after the switch, and claim the old username (which should now be available).
